- Diagonally, from the head to the tip of the longest leg, wool included.
- Width
- Across the widest point of the hide.
Always measured on the wool side, with the wool lying flat, not on the leather.
Every sheepskin is measured and rounded to the nearest 5 cm. For example: 101 cm → 100 cm, 77 cm → 80 cm.

A white sheepskin full of tight, soft curls that catch the light.
Instead of a straight pile, the wool grows in small ringlets. It gives the sheepskin a playful look that you will want to touch.
It brings lovely texture to a chair, a bench or a bed. Try it over a dining chair, across the end of the bed or on a bedroom floor. Over a plain sofa, the curls really stand out. It also makes a sweet, soft corner in a child’s room.
The curls hold their shape on their own, so there is no need to brush them. Simply give it a shake now and then.

Before you buy
Do I get the exact sheepskin in the photos?
If the page says This exact piece, yes: the sheepskin in the photos is the one we send you. Our other sheepskins are hand-picked from our stock in the size you choose, so their markings will differ a little from the photos.
How are sheepskins measured?
Flat, on the wool side, from the head to the tip of the longest leg, and across the widest point. We round to the nearest 5 cm. Because a sheepskin is measured diagonally, its length is the longest line across the skin.
Which size do I need?
Around 100 cm suits a dining chair or a stool. From about 110 cm a sheepskin drapes nicely over an armchair or lies beside the bed. From 120 cm up, it makes a lovely rug for the floor. Not sure? Just ask us and we will help you choose.
When it arrives
When will my order arrive?
Your expected delivery date is shown on this page, just above the Add to basket button. Everything we sell is in stock in our own warehouse, so nothing has to be ordered in first.
Does a new sheepskin smell?
Sometimes a little, and only at first. It is the natural smell of the wool. Hang your sheepskin somewhere airy, out of direct sun, and it fades within a few days.
Does a sheepskin shed?
Hardly. A few loose fibres in the first days are normal, and a quick brush takes them away.
Living with it
How do I clean a sheepskin?
Most sheepskins never need a real clean. Shake it out now and then, and brush it with a sheepskin brush to keep the wool loose and soft.
For a spill, clean just the wool with a little wool shampoo and a damp cloth, keep the leather dry, and let it dry flat away from heat. We don’t recommend a washing machine, not even for a medical sheepskin. Water that soaks into the leather can make it stiff.
Can I use a sheepskin in the sun?
Natural sheepskins cope well with sunlight, which is why they are so popular on garden chairs. Dyed sheepskins keep their colour best out of strong, direct sun.
Can I sit on a sheepskin for hours?
Yes, and lots of people do, on a desk chair, in the car or on a favourite armchair. The dense wool spreads your weight and stays comfortable. Choosing one for a medical reason? Your doctor or occupational therapist can tell you what suits you best.
Can my dog or cat use it?
Of course. Pets love sheepskins. A shorter wool is the easiest to keep tidy under paws.
