How Are Our Cowhides Measured?

We use a grid to determine the length and width of a cowhide, in the grid we look at the longest distance between two points. Because it is very difficult to determine the exact size to the nearest centimeter, the size of the cowhides is rounded to the nearest number every 10cm.

Here is an example:

Length:

As you can see with this cowhide the cowhide starts a little bit above the X-axis and on the Y-axis the cowhide is a little bit above the 210cm mark. So we deduct the space between the cowhide and the X-asis and round the Cowhide of to 210cm in length.

Width:

For the width we do the same and you can see that the cowhide has a width between 180 and 210cm. As the cowhide is a small distance away from the Y-axis we deduct this distance and this gives us a width of about 190cm.

Size Guide:

To determine if a cowhide has the size L, XL or XXL. We look at the size of the cowhide in square meters. An L sized cowhide is 2,5 square meter and up, an XL sized cowhide is 3,5 square meter and up and an XXL cowhide is 4,5 square meters and up.
